WHY HJI
We’ve spent 30 years building the infrastructure to serve enterprise clients. But we’ve never lost the family-business mindset that got us here. That means real relationships, fast decisions, and a team that picks up the phone.
We don't disappear after the contract is signed. Our senior leadership stays involved. Your problems become our problems. That's not a tagline. It's how we've kept customers for 30 years.
Family ownership means no red tape. When you need to scale up, pivot, or solve something fast, we can say yes without waiting on a committee. That flexibility is one of the reasons Fortune 500 companies choose us over larger competitors.
Automotive sequencing. E-commerce fulfillment. Outsourced manufacturing. Reverse logistics. We've spent decades learning how to handle the hard stuff. If your supply chain were simple, you wouldn't need us.
We didn’t pursue these certifications to check a box. They just make it official. For customers with supplier diversity commitments, we make it easy to count the spend.

Our Values
These aren’t words on a wall. They’re how we make decisions, treat our people, and show up for our customers every day.
We do what we say we're going to do. Every time. Our longest customer relationship is over 30 years old. That doesn't happen without trust.
We're proud of what we've built, but we're not too proud to listen. The best ideas often come from the people closest to the work.
We don't pretend to be something we're not. We're a family-owned logistics company from Louisville, Kentucky. That's who we are, and it shows in how we operate.
We're honest when we don't have all the answers. We ask for help. We admit mistakes. That openness is what makes real partnership possible.
We see our customers, our employees, and our community. We try to understand what they're facing before we respond. It's a small thing that changes everything.
ESG COMMITMENT
HJI is committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
We actively work to promote sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance in all aspects of our business operations. For us, that looks like building circular logistics programs that give products a second and third life instead of sending them to a landfill. It looks like investing in the Louisville community that raised us, championing supplier diversity, and opening doors for people who might not get a fair shot somewhere else. And it starts with leadership that does what they say they’re going to do.
We’ve been a family-owned business for over 30 years, and we plan to be here for 30 more. That only works if we’re building something we’re proud to pass on.
Community
Giving back has never been something we do on the side. It’s built into how we run this company.
Our founder, Alice K. Houston, launched the Alice Houston Women’s Leadership Program to invest in the next generation of women leaders. Our President, Condrad Daniels, serves on boards focused on economic development, workforce inclusion, and community growth. Our CEO, Lynn Houston Moore, sits on the WBEC-ORV Forum and the UofL Speed School Board of Advisors and coaches basketball and track locally.
Our people show up for Louisville because Louisville showed up for us. We hire locally, we invest locally, and we build the kind of business our founders always believed in: one that enriches the lives of the people around it.
FAQs

We have seven facilities totaling over 1.3 million square feet across Louisville, Kentucky and Memphis, Tennessee. Louisville puts us ten minutes from the UPS Worldport hub. Memphis puts us next to the FedEx global hub.
It depends on the service. For straightforward warehousing and fulfillment, we can work with emerging brands if the scope fits our model. For more complex programs involving assembly, sequencing, or custom manufacturing, we typically work with companies that have established volume. The best way to find out is to talk to us.
It depends on complexity. We've launched operations in as little as one week when the situation demanded it. For larger programs with custom integration, onboarding typically takes 4–8 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline after we understand your needs.
ISO 9001 (automotive quality), AIB (food safety), FDA Registered, USDA Organic Handling, and ISO 13485 compliance (medical devices). We're also IATF 16949 aligned for automotive customers who require it.

We're a 30-year-old, second-generation family business. We're big enough to handle Fortune 500 customers (Toyota, Ford, Brown-Forman) but small enough that you'll know the people managing your account. We don't just store and ship. We do something with your product while it's here: kitting, assembly, inspection, refurbishment. That's where we add value.
Start a conversation. We don't have a standard rate card because we don't offer a standard service. Tell us what you're trying to solve, and we'll figure out what makes sense together.

Tell us what’s keeping you up at night. A capacity crunch. Labor challenges. A supply chain that needs rethinking. We’ll listen first, then build a solution around your needs.
