On July 14, 2021, our co-founders, Alice and Wade Houston, were recognized during the 19th Annual Leadership Kentucky Alumni Luncheon at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

The Houstons received an award that honors individuals who have made meaningful contributions to Kentucky through professional leadership and volunteer service. Established by Leadership Kentucky, the award recognizes “an outstanding Kentuckian who has demonstrated exemplary character and has impacted the state positively through professional or volunteer activities.”

Alice and Wade were recognized for their leadership, mentorship, and impact on the Kentucky community, with themes of faith and perseverance highlighted as part of the moment. Wade’s background as a basketball coach was also noted as an important part of his leadership journey and long-standing influence on others.

We are proud to celebrate this recognition of our co-founders and the example they continue to set through character, service, and commitment to Kentucky.
